The Berlin Film Festival Reveals Full Competition Lineup

The Berlinale has announced the full competition lineup for its 61st edition kicking off on February 10th. Out of the 20 films in competition, four are directed by women. That’s 20%.

Here are the women directed films in competition:

  • Almanya — Willkommen in Deutschland (Almanya) Germany By Yasemin Samdereli
  • El premio (The Prize) Mexico/France/Poland/Germany By Paula Markovitch

Those two join the already announced The Future by Miranda July, Germany/USA, international premiere and Yelling To The Sky by Victoria Mahoney, USA.
