Tig Notaro Gets Her Own HBO Special

Grammy-nominated comedienne Tig Notaro will appear in her first HBO special later this year.

Notaro will record an all-new standup performance before a live audience in the coming months. A guest star on Transparent, Bob’s Burgers, Community, and Inside Amy Schumer (where she also wrote 10 episodes), Notaro is also the subject of Tig, a documentary by director Kristina Goolsby and Ashley York that will make its debut at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival.

“Tig Notaro is a ‘comedian’s comedian,’ whose uniquely fearless and always funny voice has won acclaim from critics and fans alike,” said HBO President of Programming Michael Lombardo. “I’m so happy that we will be able to introduce this remarkable performer to a larger audience.”
