Tina Fey and Amy Poehler to Co-Host Golden Globe Awards

In contrast to the Oscars which went with Seth MacFarlane as its host, The Golden Globes went for peak vagina by announcing that Amy Poehler and Tina Fey will be hosting their 70th anniversary show on January 13.

I haven’t been this excited in a long time.

I am sick of male comedians doing their boy shtick on award shows. We needed a change and Tina and Amy are the perfect idea to spice up the Globes, which is always fun because both TV and movie people show up and it seems like everyone is drunk. We know they have chemistry, they are friends in life, and Baby Mama which they both starred in, is criminally underappreciated. And let’s not forget the great skits they did on SNL (see below) and how they hosted Weekend Update together for a couple of seasons.

This is one smart move on the part of NBC which of late has been in the business of only making bone headed moves. Let’s hope this also means they still have love for Parks and Recreation.

Let the fun begin.
