Tina Fey and Amy Poehler’s next collaboration, the sister comedy The Nest, will open December 18, 2015.
The former SNL co-stars will star as two thirtysomething siblings who return home for one last crazy weekend before their parents sell their house. Like their previous joint venture, Baby Mama, The Nest will be distributed by Universal.
The screenplay is from SNL veteran Paula Pell, who has guest-starred on both 30 Rock and Parks and Rec. Fey and Poehler will produce, while Pitch Perfect director Jason Moore will helm.
As Variety notes, The Nest’s release date pits Fey and Poehler against Star Wars Episode VII. As we learned from 30 Rock, Fey is a huge fan of George Lucas’ trilogy, but I still like to imagine she’s making this face when she thinks of her competition:
