Writer/Directors Tina Gordon Chism and Leila Djansi have some new projects that are currently being developed.
Gordon Chism, whose directorial debut Peeples starring Kerry Washington hits theaters next month, has just sold her next script, Inheritance to Sony. The film follows a young female lawyer who is representing a New Orleans coffee tycoon. After the tycoon’s death, deadly events begin happening. The film is set to shoot in New Orleans.
Leila Djsani will be directing And Then There Was You, a drama that focuses on a divorced woman who is adjusting to her new single life. When she meets a new man, she begins to start seeing signs of potential trouble ahead. Garcelle Beauvais will star. This is Djsani’s follow up to Ties That Bind which starred Kimberly Elise. The film will begin shooting next month in Los Angeles.
