Kitty Song Covey is stepping into the spotlight. Netflix has announced that Lara Jean’s little sister is getting her own series. Titled “XO, Kitty,” the spinoff is inspired by the “To All the Boys” film franchise and Jenny Han’s bestselling book series.

Anna Cathcart will be reprising her role as Kitty, a teen matchmaker who “thinks she knows everything there is to know about love. But when she moves halfway across the world to reunite with her long-distance boyfriend, she’ll soon realize that relationships are a lot more complicated when it’s your own heart on the line,” the project’s synopsis hints.

Han is serving as showrunner alongside “GLOW” alumna Sascha Rothchild.

“XO, Kitty” isn’t the only series Han has in the works. She’s developing an adaptation of her YA novel “The Summer I Turned Pretty,” a coming-of-age story about friendship and first love, with Amazon.

Besides the “To All the Boys” trilogy, Cathcart’s other credits include “Zoe Valentine,” “Descendants 3,” and “Odd Squad.”
