Trailer Watch: A Medical Student Blows Up Her Life in “The Worst Person in the World”

"The Worst Person in the World"

“I feel like I’m a spectator in my own life,” says Renate Reinsve in a new trailer for “The Worst Person in the World.” “Sometimes I just want to feel things.”

The Cannes winner follows Julie (Reinsve, “Oslo, August 31st”), a 20-something medical student who is ready to change her life after experiencing an epiphany. She switches her major and falls for an older comic book artist, but the spot suggests that she’s not as committed to him as he is to her. She’s got her eye on someone else. “I go from one thing to another. I never see anything through,” Julie admits.

One of last year’s most acclaimed films, “The Worst Person in the World” made its world premiere at the 2021 Cannes Film Festival, where Reinsve was named Best Actress. You can catch it in theaters starting February 4.
