A park guide gets in way over her head in a new trailer for “Body at Brighton Rock.” A part-time summer employee at a mountainous state park, Wendy (Karina Fontes) spends her days picking up trash, handing out pamphlets, and working kiddie trails. She accepts an ambitious solo assignment on a rough trail to prove that she’s just as capable as her friends — but she’s totally unprepared for what follows.
Written and directed by Roxanne Benjamin (“Southbound”), the survivalist thriller sees Wendy taking a wrong turn and ending up lost deep in the backcountry. It’s there that she stumbles upon a dead body. Convinced that she’s the only one nearby, Wendy is shocked to come across another person — a creepy guy who seems extremely interested in the corpse and whether Wendy thinks the death was caused by an accident or foul play.
Help is on the way, but it won’t get there until the next morning. Wendy is left to fend for herself through the night.
“Body at Brighton Rock” opens in theaters and launches on VOD April 26.
