Trailer Watch: A “Vagrant Queen” Is the Last Hope For Her People

"Vagrant Queen"

A former child queen finds herself an orphaned outcast in a new trailer for “Vagrant Queen.” The upcoming SYFY show is based on the Vault Comics series of the same name.

“The revolution destroyed everything, and guess what? I got over it,” says Elida (Adriyan Rae, “Light as a Feather”). Hunted by the Republic government determined to extinguish her bloodline, Elida quickly realized that she had to “learn to fight or learn to die.”

Elida is considered the last hope of a bygone era for some — but she refuses to be reduced to a symbol. “I am not your nightlight in the shitty darkness,” she insists.

When Elida hears that her mother is still alive, she heads off with allies to stage a rescue mission that will take her into the heart of her former kingdom.

Created by Jem Garrard (“You Me Her”) and featuring an all-female team of writers and directors, “Vagrant Queen” premieres on SYFY March 27. Garrard serves as showrunner.
