Trailer Watch: Betty Gilpin Won’t Go Down Without a Fight in “The Hunt”

"The Hunt": Universal

Liberty Belle takes the fight outside of the ring in a new trailer for “The Hunt.” “GLOW” breakout Betty Gilpin stars as Crystal, a woman who wakes up in a clearing with 11 strangers. They’re being hunted for sport by a group of elites who are convinced that their intended prey are “not human beings.”

“We pay for everything, so this country belongs to us,” says the mysterious woman (Hilary Swank) orchestrating the hunt, giving its participants license to kill without guilt.

Crystal won’t wait around to be murdered– she’s taking action and leading the other targets to do the same, picking off the hunters one by one.

“Of all the people you kidnapped, of all the people you killed, you picked the wrong gang,” Crystal warns.

Gilpin recently received an Emmy nomination — her second –for her role as Debbie, AKA Liberty Belle, in “GLOW.” The third season of the ’80s-set wrestling dramedy hits Netflix August 9. Her other credits include “Isn’t It Romantic,” “Masters of Sex,” and “Nurse Jackie.”
