Trailer Watch: Black Nativity – Directed by Kasi Lemmons

nullKasi Lemmon’s Black Nativity is an adaptation of Langston Hughes’ famed retelling of the Nativity story with an all black cast. Lemmon’s take focuses on a teen (Jacob Latimore) who is sent by his single mother (Jennifer Hudson) to stay with her parents (Angela Bassett and Forest Whitaker) during the holidays as hard times hit their family.

Judging from this first trailer, this is going to be a holiday film to see. And the music will give you chills.

Black Nativity hits theaters on November 27th.
