Trailer Watch: ‘E-Team’ Profiles Human-Rights Investigators in Action

In places like Syria and Libya, where human-rights abuses were/are rampant, someone has to compile, analyze, and collect evidence of crimes against humanity in the midst of chaos to tell the world what’s happening in those regions.

Katy Chevigny (Deadline, Election Day) and Ross Kauffman (the Oscar-winning Born into Brothels) profiles four such human-rights investigators in the documentary E-Team, both in the field and back at home in Western Europe. Anna Neistat, Ole Solvang, Peter Bouckaert and Fred Abrahams are members of the Emergencies Team (or E-Team for short) who quickly arrive in troubled areas to uncover governmental abuse or war crimes. The trailer suggests danger, heartbreak, and, hopefully, justice.

E-Team will open in NYC theaters on October 22 and in LA theaters and will be available on Netflix on October 24.
