Trailer Watch: Eden – Directed by Megan Griffiths

nullEden, directed by Megan Griffiths, is based on the true-story of Chong Kim in the 90s, who was kidnapped at 18 and held as a sex slave for two years. It shows how human trafficking happens not only overseas, but right here in our backyard.

Kim now works as an anti-trafficking and sexual abuse activist. The film follows Eden (Jamie Chung), who after being kidnapped in a bar and is held as a sex slave and how she is able to escape. The film won the audience award at the 2012 SXSW film festival.

Be warned, the trailer is a little disturbing.

It opens in limited release on March 20.
