Lots of people have from mommy issues, but none quite like Emanuel’s (Kaya Scodelario). In the dramatic thriller The Truth About Fishes (formerly Emanuel and the Truth About Fishes), the angry, angsty teen has never gotten over the fact that her mother died giving birth to her. When young mom Linda moves in across the street, Emanuel begins engaging in some erotic-familial-confusing-creepy shenanigans with her new neighbor.
Francesca Gregorini, who co-directed the prep-school drama Tanner Hall, helms.
The film will be released January 10, 2014.
