There’s new superheroes in town — ones who talk about kegels and eat slushies. A trailer has arrived for the film reboot of the children’s show “Electra Woman & Dyna Girl.”
YouTube superstars and frequent collaborators Grace Helbig (“The Most Popular Girls in School”) and Hannah Hart (“Words with Girls”) star as titular crime-fighters who move from Akron, Ohio to LA after being discovered by an agent. (“I love everything about you,” he says. In typical Hollywood fashion, the sleazeball quickly adds, “But I do want to enhance some things.”)
LA isn’t quite what the dynamic duo imagined it would be. Yes, Electra Woman and Dyna Girl find fame — but it comes at a cost. It’s not long before their egos get in the way of what it is they set out to do: help people and make a difference.
Check out the trailer to get a peek at the supervillain they are up against as well as their not-so-super caped-crusader comrades.
The original live-action sci-fi series aired in the 70s.
Stream queens Helbig and Hart star in “Dirty Thirty,” an upcoming comedy about a birthday party that goes hilariously awry.
“Electra Woman & Dyna Girl” premieres June 7 on major digital platforms.
