Issa and her pals are “single, 30, thriving” in a new trailer for Season 3 of “Insecure.” That’s how they feel when they’re being optimistic, anyway. Issa (Issa Rae) claims to be “doing great,” but despite working full-time and saving, she’s still living with her ex, Daniel (Y’lan Noel), and can’t afford to move out.

Though she’s not sleeping with Daniel — yet — the chemistry is there, and it seems like it’s only a matter of time until things turn physical. When she tells her crew she’s planning on prolonging her stay with him, they don’t hold back their opinions — or eyerolls.

Issa’s BFF Molly (Yvonne Orji) encourages her to “know better [and] do better,” but we’ll have to wait and see if Issa takes the advice.

Season 3 of “Insecure” premieres August 12 on HBO. Rae co-created the series and has received two Golden Globe nods for her acting in it.
