Trailer Watch: Jamie Lee Curtis Is Coming for Michael Myers in “Halloween Kills”

"Halloween Kills"

Michael Myers is alive, thriving, and adding to his whopping body count. A gory new trailer for “Halloween Kills” sees the masked murderer returning to where it all began: his childhood home.

Forty years ago, the boogeyman came for Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis). Despite her best efforts, she wasn’t able to kill him with the raging fire she set in the last installment of the franchise, 2018’s “Halloween.” The iconic final girl is more determined than ever to end his reign of terror. “He’s coming for me, but I’m coming for him,” says Laurie. “I want to take his mask off and see the life leave his eyes.”

Curtis’ other credits include “True Lies,” “Freaky Friday,” and more recently, “Knives Out.” She received the Golden Lion for lifetime achievement at this year’s Venice Film Festival. “Halloween Kills” made its world premiere at the fest. The slasher pic hits theaters and starts streaming on Peacock October 15. The last “Halloween” marked the biggest debut ever for a movie with a female lead over 55 years old.
