A trailer has arrived for Amy Berg’s Janis Joplin doc “Janis: Little Girl Blue.”

The spot begins with a voiceover from Joplin herself, who says, “I started singing when I was about 17.” It was only ten years between Joplin’s discovery that she could croon and her death at the age of 27, but in that decade, she secured a spot in the history of music as one of the greatest artists of all time.

Berg’s documentary on the singer-songwriter, who rose to prominence in the ’60s, explores Joplin’s songs and the stories behind them, as well as the the legacy of the “Queen of Psychedelic Soul.”

“Janis: Little Girl Blue” made its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival, then its North American debut at TIFF shortly after. You can find it in theaters starting November 27th.

This is the fourth film Berg has directed this year. The Oscar-nominated filmmaker has already released “An Open Secret,” “Prophet’s Prey” and her narrative debut “Every Secret Thing” in 2015.
