Trailer Watch: Kat Dennings Loses Her Boyfriend and Reunites with Her Friends in “Dollface”

"Dollface"

Kat Dennings gets unexpectedly dumped and reevaluates her life choices in a new trailer for “Dollface.” The Hulu comedy series sees the “2 Broke Girls” alumna re-entering the world of women after abandoning her friends for a dude.

Jules’ (Dennings) entire social calendar — weddings, retreats, and all — involved her ex. She’s shocked to discover that all her “personal relationships have expired.” “I was so caught up in my relationship that I abandoned an entire gender of friendships,” Jules realizes. So she resolves to make amends with her old pals, who are full of advice for helping Jules recover from her broken heart “What you need right now is a hot guy,” Jules is told, “so you can hook up with him, but you’ll never actually date him.”

Check out the trailer to see what happens when Jules accidentally likes her ex’s new girlfriend’s Instagram pic.

“Dollface” premieres November 15. Season 1 features 10 episodes, six of which were directed or co-directed by women. Stephanie Laing (“I’m Sorry,” “Irreplaceable You”) and Alethea Jones (“Queen America,” “Fun Mom Dinner”) helmed multiple episodes.

The series was created by Jordan Weiss and counts Margot Robbie among its exec producers. Beth Grant (“The Mindy Project”), Shay Mitchell (“Pretty Little Liars”), Esther Povitsky (“Crazy Ex-Girlfriend”), and Brenda Song (“Secret Obsession”) co-star.
