Trailer Watch: Marianne Jean-Baptiste Dons a Killer Dress in “In Fabric”

"In Fabric"

Marianne Jean-Baptiste’s daring sartorial choice may lead to fatal consequences in a new trailer for “In Fabric.” The horror-comedy sees the “Homecoming” actress playing Sheila, a lonely department store worker prepping for a big date.

Hesitant to try on a show-stopping red dress, Sheila is convinced by the saleswoman, who encourages her to “be bold.” It’s not the kind of thing Sheila would usually wear on a date, but she steps outside of her comfort zone and decides to buy it.

It’s not long before Sheila notices mysterious marks on her body, and begins to suspect that something’s deeply wrong with the article of clothing. Ridiculed for being scared of a dress, Sheila is told that its tag, which reads “those who wear me will know me,” is simply a gimmick.

An alumna of “Without a Trace,” Jean-Baptiste’s recent credits include “Training Day” and “Blindspot.”

“In Fabric” doesn’t have a release date yet.
