“The universe is so much bigger than you realize,” Michelle Yeoh is told in a new trailer for “Everything Everywhere All At Once.” The sci-fi sees the “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings” actress playing Evelyn, an overworked woman who can’t quite seem to finish her taxes but is expected to save our world and many others. “Across the multiverse, I’ve seen thousands of Evelyns. You can access all their memories, emotions, even their skills. There’s a great evil spreading through the many verses,” she’s warned, “and you may be our only chance of stopping it.”
Though she’s initially convinced that there’s “no way” that she’s the Evelyn capable of saving us all, she begins to realize that she’s more powerful than she ever imagined.
“Star Trek: Discovery,” “Last Christmas,” and “Crazy Rich Asians” are among Yeoh’s recent credits. Her upcoming slate includes “The Witcher: Blood Origin” and a slew of “Avatar” films.
“Everything Everywhere All At Once” will have its world premiere as the opening night film of SXSW on March 11 and hits theaters March 25.
