Trailer Watch: Naomie Harris Uncovers Police Corruption in “Black and Blue”

"Black and Blue"

“You think you’re black? You think they’re your people? Well, they’re not. We are,” a rookie cop is told by a fellow officer in a new trailer for “Black and Blue.” “Don’t you ever forget that. These streets are a war zone. You’re blue now,” she’s warned.

“Black and Blue” sees Alicia (Naomie Harris) confronted with the realities of working in the police force, where those entrusted to enforce the law are often criminals themselves. When she witnesses corrupt officers murdering a drug dealer — and captures the cold-blooded killing on her body cam — Alicia becomes a target for the officers and criminals involved in the conspiracy. They’re desperate to get rid of Alicia and her incriminating footage.

Harris received an Oscar nomination for her supporting role in “Moonlight.” The “Bond” franchise, “Southpaw,” and “Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom” are among her other credits.

“Black and Blue” arrives in theaters October 25. Check out the trailer to see who Alicia teams up with to take her enemies down.
