Trailer Watch: Teen Girls Battle Bratwurst Nazis in “Yoga Hosers”

“Yoga Hosers”

Prepare to meet Canadian Hitler. A trailer has landed for Kevin Smith’s horror-comedy “Yoga Hosers,” starring Harley Quinn Smith (“Tusk”) and model Lily-Rose Depp as sardonic Canadian teens living in Winnipeg. The pair of 15-year-old yoga aficionados have attitude to spare, but even they can’t resist the allure of an invitation to a senior party, in spite of warnings that “Senior boys only invite sophomore girls to parties for one thing.”

Their exciting party plans are threatened when one of their dads forces both girls to work a shift at his convenience store. Little do they realize that their night is going to be far more exciting than they could’ve ever imagined — and weirder, too.

Ancient, evil forces rise, unleashing an army of Bratzis — little Nazis made of bratwurst. And it’s up to this unlikely duo to help stop them. The girls disparaged for “living on [their] phones” and being a part of “Generation Why Me?” in fact seem destined to save the world, and defeat Canadian Hitler.

“Yoga Hosers” opens in theaters July 29. Natasha Lyonne (“Orange is the New Black), Justin Long (“New Girl”), and Tony Hale (“Veep”) co-star, as does Depp’s father, Johnny Depp. Smith’s father is the writer-director of “Yoga Hosers,” Kevin Smith.

Check out the trailer below to see the friends using their ample yoga experience — and Canadian politeness — to their advantage in this epic battle.
