Teyana Taylor insists that she’s willing to “go to war” for her son in a new trailer for A.V. Rockwell’s “A Thousand and One,” the winner of the Grand Jury Prize at this year’s edition of Sundance Film Festival. The drama centers around Inez (Taylor), a woman who kidnaps her six-year-old son, Terry, from the foster care system. The spot suggests that the mother and son’s secret doesn’t stay under wraps indefinitely.
Years pass. Now a star student, Terry is poised for the likes of MIT and Harvard. “Something’s going to happen. I can feel it,” Inez says. And it does. “Have you told anyone else about this?” we see Terry being asked by a school administrator.
“A Thousand and One” hits theaters March 31.
