Abbie Cornish stars in The Girl, as a young mother, Ashley, who loses custody of her young son because of a lack of money. When she decides to smuggle immigrants over the border for money, things take a turn for the worse, and Ashley is left to care for a young parentless Mexican girl. Cornish's performance is garnering great reviews.
