Trailer Watch: The Pfeffermans Go to Israel in “Transparent” Season 4

“Transparent”

“You can just start again and never look back,” says Maura (Jeffrey Tambor) in a newly released trailer for “Transparent’s” upcoming fourth season. But — for better and for worse — the rest of the Pfefferman family will always be there asking her and each other hilariously intrusive questions, including whether or not they can remember how many sexual partners they’ve been with.

“You’re a boundary pusher,” Josh (Jay Duplass) observes of his mother, Shelly (Judith Light), who declares that she has “no idea what boundaries are.”

As Sarah (Amy Landecker) admits, “My family lies a lot ’cause everyone’s like in everyone’s stuff, so you tell a lie and you can have some privacy.”

“Transparent’s” first season kicked off with Maura coming out as transgender to her wife and children. The premise was inspired by creator Jill Soloway’s family. The fourth season of the Emmy-winning ensemble dramedy sees the Pfeffermans traveling to Israel together, or as Sarah calls it, “Orthodox Jewish Disneyland.”

Check out the trailer to see what everyone gets up to on the family vacation and to hear some news from Maura that leaves Ali (Gaby Hoffmann) speechless.

The fourth season of “Transparent” hits Amazon September 22.
