Trailer Watch: The Teenage Witch Is Back in “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina”

"Chilling Adventures of Sabrina"

Sally Draper is all grown up and dabbling in the occult. A trailer has dropped for “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina,” an upcoming Netflix series that sees “Mad Men” alumna Kiernan Shipka playing the role of the iconic teen witch. This take on the character is decidedly darker than ABC’s Melissa Joan Hart-led sitcom “Sabrina the Teenage Witch.” It looks like “Chilling Adventures” may even include human sacrifices.

“In the town of Greendale, where it always feels like Halloween, there lived a girl who was half witch, half mortal, who on her 16th birthday would have to choose between two worlds: the witch world of her family and the human world of her friends. And that girl is me,” Sabrina explains in the spot.

Will she forsake the path of light and follow the path of night?

“I’m not an evil person, but these are desperate times,” the teen hints.

Besides “Mad Men,” Shipka’s credits include “Feud” and “Very Good Girls.”

“Sabrina” drops on Netflix just in time for Halloween, October 26.
