Trailer Watch: Tiffany Haddish Shares Her Mic with Other Comedians in Season 2 of “They Ready”

"Tiffany Haddish Presents: They Ready"

Tiffany Haddish is bringing some much-needed laughs. The “Girls Trip” breakout and stand-up comic is introducing audiences to six more of her favorite comics in Season 2 of “Tiffany Haddish Presents: They Ready.” “This season, these comics are veterans, they are professionals at tickling us all, and I want to give them all the kind of shine they deserve,” Haddish says in a new trailer for the Netflix show.

One of the featured comics, Kimberly Clark, emphasizes how there are “so many great comedians out there that never ever get any shine.” We also catch a glimpse of her shining on-stage. “I’m looking for comfortable shoes that won’t make me look like a biblical character,” she says. “It’s really difficult.”

“Self Made: Inspired by the Life of Madam C.J. Walker,” “Like a Boss,” and “The Kitchen” are among Haddish’s recent credits. Her upcoming slate includes “Homecoming Queen,” a feature inspired by Haddish’s experience of traveling to Africa and thinking she was royalty, and Season 2 of animated comedy “Tuca & Bertie,” which is switching homes from Netflix to Adult Swim.

The first season of “Tiffany Haddish: They Ready” received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Directing for a Variety Series. The nom went to Linda Mendoza, whose other credits include “Never Have I Ever,” “Brooklyn Nine-Nine,” and “Black-ish.” She also directed Haddish’s 2019 Netflix stand-up special, “Black Mitzvah.”

Season 2 of “Tiffany Haddish Presents: They Ready” premieres February 2.
