Trailer Watch: Wendy Williams Tells It Like It Is In Her Lifetime Biopic

"Wendy Williams: The Movie"

“I am here to stay. Wendy Williams is not going anywhere. I’m going to come in like a hurricane,” says Wendy Williams (Ciera Payton, “The Oval”) in a new trailer for Lifetime’s biopic of the shock jock, media mogul, and daytime talk show host.

Despite being told that she’s “self-indulgent,” “narcissistic,” and has “a coke habit,” Williams never stops believing in herself. “I am going to tell it like it is,” she promises.

“Wendy Williams: The Movie” chronicles her professional and personal triumphs and hardships. “Before I had you, I had me — and not you, nor anyone else have the power to take away my gift,” Williams tells her ex husband (Morocco Omari). “I’m going to bring the heat.”

Penned by Leigh Davenport (“Boomerang”) and Scarlett Lacey (“Magnum P.I.”) and exec produced by Williams, “Wendy Williams: The Movie” premieres at 8 p.m. January 30 on Lifetime. The biopic will be followed with a doc about Williams that will see her telling her own story.
