Trailer Watch: Zendaya Is a Recovering Addict in HBO’s “Euphoria”

"Euphoria"

“If I could be a different person, I would,” says Zendaya in a new trailer for “Euphoria.” The upcoming HBO series sees the “Spider-Man: Homecoming” actress playing Rue, a recovering teen addict.

The spot shows the highschooler forming a quick and close bond with a new girl in town (Sydney Sweeney). “Every time I feel good I think it will last forever — but it doesn’t,” Rue explains. Her mother, meanwhile, wants her to “take her time,” and warns that she’s “delicate.”

Based on the Israeli series of the same name, “Euphoria” premieres on HBO June 16. Augustine Frizzell (“Never Goin Back”) directed the pilot.
