“High Fidelity” is coming to the small screen. Unlike Nick Hornby’s 1995 novel and the 2000 film starring John Cusack, Hulu’s take on the story features a female protagonist. Zoë Kravitz toplines the comedy about a record store owner with a penchant for making top 5 lists. A new trailer for the project sees Rob (Kravitz) addressing her top 5 most memorable breakups and introducing us to her record store in Crown Heights, Brooklyn.
Still in the midst of getting over her one true love, Rob is surprised to learn he’s moved back to New York — and even more surprised to learn he’s in a new relationship. “You do this after every relationship: you tend to overthink things a little,” a concerned pal observes. It looks like Rob will need to make peace with the past before she’s able to move on.
“High Fidelity” drops on Hulu February 14. “Big Little Lies,” “Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald,” and “Rough Night” are among Kravitz’s recent credits. She’s locked in to play Catwoman in “The Batman,” currently slated to hit theaters June 25, 2021.
