TV Land’s Sutton Foster comedy “Younger” has been renewed for a fourth season, Broadway World reports, shortly after production began on the third, which is set to premiere on September 28.
The series, which follows a 40-something woman (Foster) who fakes being younger in order to start over in her career and love life, saw a tremendous increase in viewership in Season 2. According to The Hollywood Reporter, “The sophomore outing posted double-digit increases — up 67 percent among adults 25–54, 63 percent among adults 18–49 and more. TV Land also noted that VOD orders tripled from the season-two premiere to its finale.”
“The show is a force in and of itself, so it’s a no-brainer to renew it again,” TV Land’s Keith Cox said. “Critics and fans love it, and I know [creator] Darren [Star] and the entire cast and crew behind ‘Younger’ will continue to deliver at the top of their game.”
“Younger” also stars Hilary Duff, Debi Mazar, Miriam Shor, Nico Tortorella, Peter Hermann, and Molly Bernard.
