On the heels of Amy Poehler’s Best Actress win for Parks and Rec at the Golden Globes comes more Pawnee news. P&R co-star Rashida Jones, whose last episode on the show will air in February, has lined up a new sitcom on NBC. The Hollywood Reporter describes A to Z, which Jones produced, as “set in the world of an online dating company that details the ‘A to Z’s’ of a relationship, from meeting to break-up. The ensemble project navigates the complicated world of modern dating and poses the question: Is there such a thing as destiny?”
Elsewhere at the network, comediennes Casey Wilson and June Diane Raphael, who last collaborated on the film Ass Backwards and are currently writing a screenplay for Will Ferrell’s production company, now have two shows coming out this fall season. ABC will air DINKS (short for Double Income No Kids), while NBC has bought Mason Twins, “a single-camera entry about fraternal twins Pender and Lizzie Mason.” THR provides the show’s backstory: “After having been estranged for 15 years, the duo reconnect after Lizzie’s perfect city life falls apart and she returns to her suburban town to discover that her sister hasn’t matured beyond her teen queen days.” Raphael will reportedly star in DINKS.
