Virtual, In-Person, and Hybrid Passes Now Available for 2022 Athena Film Festival

The 12th annual Athena Film Festival (AFF) will take place in-person at Barnard College in NYC March 11-13, and virtually March 11-20. Early Bird passes are now available for the 2022 edition.

After nearly two years of isolation, the Festival will be an opportunity to bring together women and nonbinary filmmakers, allies, audiences, community partners, and sponsors to mourn, celebrate, and advocate for a more inclusive understanding of what leadership looks like.

As the premier film festival dedicated to celebrating and elevating women’s leadership, the Athena Film Festival will showcase films and women whose leadership has been questioned, dismissed, or erased, women who have risen up, spoken truth to power, women who empower their communities, inspire and educate, or women who simply survive – these are the stories we want to see. Panel conversations will focus on topics of advocacy and inclusion in the industry and in our culture.

Melissa Silverstein, Women and Hollywood’s Founder and Publisher, is Co-Founder and Artistic Director of AFF. The fest is a joint project of W&H and Barnard’s Athena Center for Leadership. The Festival’s founding sponsor is the Artemis Rising Foundation and its CEO Regina K. Scully.

In-person passes ($150 each) will give you access to live events at Barnard from March 11-13, while online passes ($150 each) will give you access to virtual fest premieres and panels from anywhere in the U.S. (including Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico) from March 11-20. Hybrid passes ($250 each) will allow you in-person access to the festival at Barnard, in addition to online screenings from March 11-20.

Passes can be purchased on AFF’s website. There are special rates for students, and the W&H community can use the code WHAFF22 for 20 percent off.

The 2022 edition’s full program will be announced early next year. Head over to the fest’s website to find out more and to review COVID protocols for in-person events.
