Watch: “Broad City’s” Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer Present Awards for Sexism

The women of “Broad City,” Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer, have revealed the categories for the first Golden Probe Awards, a satirical skewering of both awards shows and the sexism that plagues politics and media.

As Rolling Stone details, “The Golden Probes will parody typical award show tropes, including musical performances, dance sequences and tribute pieces… [and] is designed to raise voter awareness about politicians and policymakers stances on reproductive health care prior to the November elections.”

The hilarious and anger-inducing categories include Best Acting Like You Care About Women in a Non-Supportive Role, Best Original Science, Best Adaptation of Reality in an Elected or Non-Elected Role, Outstanding Performance in an Unscripted Outburst, Best Newcomer and/or Breakthrough Performance, Outstanding Writing Using Sharpie, Hobby Lobby Supplies and/or Microsoft Paint, Outstanding Underachievement By a Legislator in a Leading Role, and Legislature of the Year.

Appearing along with the “Broad City” broads will be Sarah Silverman, Samantha Bee, Wendy Davis, Jessica Williams, “Orange is the New Black’s” Matt McGorry and Lea Delaria, “SNL’s” Sasheer Zamata, Phoebe Robinson, and Lizz Winstead. Hip-hop artist/comedian Jean Grae will host.

The event, a fundraiser presented by the nonprofit Lady Parts Justice, will take place on October 2 before a live audience and streamed via the LPJ website. Watch the category presentation below.
