nullAs we previously reported, the rumors swirling about Barbara Walters’ retirement in 2014 were growing. Finally, the journalism legend confirmed and announced her retirement on The View yesterday. 

Walters is set to retire next summer, however she will stay on with The View as an executive producer.

Watch Walters (alongside her co-hosts) announce her retirement, give a brief retrospective of her legendary career and show her commitment to women in the media. Walters’ presence on our television screens in 2014 will be greatly missed.
