Blended — Co-Written by Clare Sera

Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler recall their earlier work together on The Wedding Singer and 50 First Dates in their new parent-themed romantic comedy. In my review for TheWrap, I wrote, “Though it’s every bit as formulaic as you’d expect it to be, Blended is much better than Barrymore and Sandler’s previous collaborations by leaps and bounds. That’s because Barrymore gets to do a lot more than bat her eyelashes and laugh at Sandler’s jokes here, resulting in a tonal tug-of-war between the his-and-her stories that expands the film in enjoyable ways, even if the work doesn’t quite feel cohesive.” (Inkoo Kang)

Stand Clear of the Closing Doors — Co-Written by Rose Lichter-Marck

When autistic teen Ricky is scolded for skipping class, he escapes into the subway for a days-long odyssey among the subway’s disparate denizens. Meanwhile, his mother wages an escalating search effort above ground. Based on a true story and set in Far Rockaway, Queens, in the days leading up to Hurricane Sandy, these parallel stories of mother and son take the viewer on a touching journey of community and connection in and below New York City (Press Material)
