Women and Hollywood’s #WFW Partners With Women in Film and The Director List for #AskHerFilm

We are incredibly excited to announce that, starting next week, we will be joining forces with Women In Film and The Director List for our #WFW feature.

We absolutely love what Women in Film and The Director list are doing to promote female filmmakers and raise awareness for the state of the industry. For Women’s History Month, they hosted a live Q&A with a female director on Twitter every week. If you missed out on those, never fear, because the #AskHerFilm chats are back by popular demand, this time on a monthly basis.

And where does #WFW come in? We will be highlighting each monthly #AskHerFilm chat filmmaker as our #WFW filmmaker that week. Because teamwork makes the dream work. We will also be helping to promote the chat and participate during, because who doesn’t love a great Twitter chat, right? Right.

#AskHerFilm will kick off with a special group chat for the LA Film Festival. Mark your calendars for next Thursday, June 2, from 1–2pmTw PDT, because The Director List and Women in Film will be chatting with the creators of these films premiering at LA Film Festival: “Tracktown,” “No Light and No Land Anywhere,” and “The View From Tall.” W&H will kick off the celebrating with our usual #WFW (on, you guessed it, Wednesday) highlighting these films and creators.

If you haven’t participated in a Twitter chat before, it’s super easy! It’s helpful if you follow our Twitter accounts: W&H, Women in Film, The Director List, but really all you need to do is search the hashtag #AskHerFilm (and make sure to switch over to track it “live” once the chat starts!). We hope to chat with you all next Thursday.
