Will Kathryn Bigelow Be The First Out of the Gate With a Bin Laden Movie?

I imagine that Kathryn Bigelow and Mark Boal are pretty psyched today regarding the prospects for their upcoming film which has long been rumored to be about the attempt to capture Bin Laden. In January, Variety reported the pair had received financing from Megan Ellison and her company Annapurna Films and that Boal was writing the film.

I guess he’s going to have to fix the ending.

How cool would it be if Bigelow were the one to get this on film? There are not a lot of details on the film but I bet we will be hearing news soon. Shooting is supposed to commence this summer.
