Wolfe Video, the largest exclusive distributor of LGBT movies, is celebrating its 30th anniversary by donating its complete library of lesbian films — about 100 or so — to the June L. Mazer Lesbian Archives.

Among the bequested collection are classics like “Desert Hearts” and recent favorites like “Mosquita & Mari,” “Reaching for the Moon” and “Kiss Me,” as well as the distributor’s newest release, Monika Treut’s “Of Girls and Horses.”

“Supporting our community
organizations has always been an important part of our
work,” said Kathy Wolfe, who founded her company in 1985. “Making all of
our films available for researchers and historians is
very exciting for us, and we are truly grateful to the
Mazer Archives for all the important work that they do.”

The June L. Mazer Archives is the largest West Coast repository dedicated to preserving and promoting lesbian and
feminist history and culture.

incredible trove of lesbian films available to our
researchers,” said Archives Board Chair
Angela Brinskele. “We’re extremely grateful to Wolfe
Video and founder Kathy Wolfe for this incredibly
generous donation to our collection.”
