I’m heading up to the Toronto Film Festival for the third time and again the anxiety of creating a decent schedule has set in.  We will have a new feature on the site this year – Meet the Women Directors.  We sent out some questions to women directors whose films are in the festival and we will be bringing you their answers in the coming days.  

Here are some events that I will be participating in:

Monday, September 9 – 6pm

I will be moderating: A Conversation with Female Directors as part of Indiewire @ The TIFF Filmmakers Lounge

The stellar list of directors participating include: Liza Johnson (Hateship Loveship), Megan Griffiths (Lucky Them), Dana Rotberg (White Lies) and Judy Kibinge (Something Necessary). 

The location is the TIFF Filmmakers Lounge in the downtown Hyatt Hotel next the TIFF Bell Lightbox (mezzanine level).  Here are the details on all the great panels that will be running from September 7-10 from 5:30-6:30 each evening.  

Tuesday, September 10 – 3:30-5 Bell Lightbox Theatre 5 – 

As the Artistic Director of the Athena Film Festival, I will be a participant on a panel: 40 Years On: Women’s Film Festivals Today.  

This is open to the public and free.  There is a reception following the conversation sponsored by the Athena Film Festival.  Please join us.
