Women and Hollywood is Not Going Away

nullNews hit this morning that Penske Media has bought Indiewire. This was quite a surprise; I am just beginning to digest it. While the news is early, my understanding is that the blog network will be discontinued in the next few months.

That means that Women and Hollywood will no longer live on Indiewire.

But don’t think we are going away. We’re ready for all the work that still needs to be done, and we will figure out the next steps.

Women and Hollywood began over eight years ago as a little idea. It has lived on the Indiewire platform for the last 5 years. I am grateful that we have had the opportunity to get the word out to so many people. I want to thank Anne Thompson for bringing me to Indiewire, as well as Dana Harris and all the folks over there for always giving us editorial freedom.

This is just another fork in the road. Stay tuned.
