Women and Hollywood Welcomes UK Writer Kate Wilson

null

As you probably know by now, Women and Hollywood isn’t just about women working in Hollywood.  That’s why it’s called women and Hollywood because the site is about how the entertainment business effects all of our lives.  And we all know that entertainment is happening all over the world and it is important for the site to impart relevant information from all over.

In order to get a better sense of what is going on for women in Europe, I am proud to welcome Kate Wilson who will be reporting from London a couple of times a week.  She’s already had several by-lines on the site, and we all look forward to her being a part of the next phase of Women and Hollywood.

Here’s her bio:

Having graduated from UCLA with a BA in English, Kate trained as a film producer at Jodie Foster’s Egg Pictures and Paul Thomas Anderson’s Ghoulardi Film Company. Back in London, she continued to develop films while also managing writers and directors for the Artists Independent Network. Kate has undertaken work in the voluntary sector, acting as the director of a local community centre and as a business advisor for an international human rights organisation.

Returning to film and the arts, she is now the Head of Development for the London Film School and a development consultant at HiBROW.  Kate is also a graduate of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts (MA Text and Performance) and a member of the Bar of England and Wales.

Help me welcome Kate to Women and Hollywood.
