“Long Line of Ladies,” a short documentary that just premiered at Sundance, is hosting a virtual VIP screening and Q&A, and the Women and Hollywood community is invited.* The story of a young Indigenous woman preparing for a coming-of-age ritual will be available to view Tuesday, January 25 alongside a panel discussion with directors Rayka Zehtabchi and Shaandiin Tome, moderated by W&H founder and publisher Melissa Silverstein.

Synopsis: “Long Line of Ladies” follows a girl (Ahtyirahm “Ahty” Allen) and her community as they prepare for her Ihuk flower dance, a girl’s coming-of-age ceremony celebrating her entry into womanhood. The documentary short explores open and supportive conversations about menstruation through the story of a Northern California tribe.
