Zoë Kravitz Will Star in and Produce Bank Robber Pic “The Sundance Kid Might Have Some Regrets”

Kravitz in "Big Little Lies"

Zoë Kravitz is planning another heist. After taking on the role of the world’s most iconic cat burglar in “The Batman,” she’ll play a bank robber in “The Sundance Kid Might Have Some Regrets.” Deadline reports that Warner Bros. won a bidding war for the upcoming pic, which is based on Leyna Krow’s short story of the same name.

“The Sundance Kid Might Have Some Regrets” follows a pair of twin bank robbers. “While one twin, Maggie, boasts supernatural powers including telekinesis and super-strength, her sibling heads up the operation and serves as narrator of the tale. Maggie begins to second-guess the life she and her sister lead when their latest heist goes awry.”

A writer and director aren’t attached yet.

Kravitz took on the role of Catwoman in “The Batman,” which has taken in over $770 million worldwide. Her other recent credits include “Kimi” and “Big Little Lies.” She’s set to make her directorial debut with “Pussy Island,” a thriller about a cocktail waitress who makes her way into a tech mogul’s inner circle.

Another one of Krow’s short stories, “Sinkhole,” is also headed for the big screen, and counts “Insecure” breakout Issa Rae among its producers. Her debut novel, “Fire Season,” is slated to hit bookshelves next month.
