Co-founded by Women and Hollywood’s Founder and Publisher, Melissa Silverstein, The Athena Film Festival is an annual event honoring courageous and audacious women in real life and the fictional world, screening feature films, documentaries, and shorts. This upcoming fest will be held February 22–25, 2018 at Barnard College in New York City.
The 3% Movement was established to bolster female creative directors. Before the organization began, women comprised only three percent of all creative directors in the U.S. According to its website, “Through a mix of content, community and professional development, [The 3% Movement] helped raise the number of female CDs to 11 percent while giving agencies a clear road map of ways to champion female creative talent and leadership.” Check out The 3% website to learn more about the organization and its conferences.
