Trish Sie has lined up her next feature. Deadline reports that she’s locked in to direct “The Sleepover” for Netflix.
Penned by Sarah Rothschild, the family pic tells the story of two siblings who make a shocking discovery about their mom — she’s a former thief in witness protection. “Mom is forced to pull one last job, and the kids team up to rescue her over the course of an action-packed night,” the source summarizes.
“The Sleepover’s” ensemble cast includes Sadie Stanley (“Kim Possible”), Karla Souza (“How to Get Away with Murder”), and Malin Akerman (“Billions”)
Sie made her feature debut with 2014’s “Step Up All In” and followed it up with 2017’s “Pitch Perfect 3.” The former grossed over $86 million worldwide and the latter $185 million.
Rothschild wrote”24-7,” an upcoming workplace comedy starring Kerry Washington and Eva Longoria. The latter is directing the pic.
